RAKIA & SFM Roadshow in Geneva

22 April 2015

SFM Corporate Services recently partnered with the Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA) accompanying the governmental body to Geneva, Switzerland for a roadshow to present to Swiss-based lawyers, fiduciaries, asset managers, and banks the vast opportunities available to those who seek to establish a company in the Emirates. Also joining RAKIA and SFM in Geneva, and demonstrating their support for the promotion of investment opportunities in RAK, was the reputable Dubai-based bank, Noor Bank.

With over 10,000 offshore companies already established in RAK today, the emirate is swiftly becoming a regional hub for those looking to take advantage of this jurisdiction’s perks, such as an absence of corporate tax, no requirements with regard to the filing of accounting records, and the lack of a public corporate registry, to name but a few. In addition to this, RAK boasts a rapid incorporation process wherein an IBC can be formed within 24 hours once the standard required documents are sent to the authority and, to top it off, any non UAE resident can incorporate a RAK offshore company. Moreover, the UAE is not a member of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) nor is it on any “blacklist” commonly associated with low-tax or tax-free havens.

This unique combination of having a flexible and modern legislative framework and simple company formation requirements within an economically and politically stable environment puts Ras Al Khaimah on the forefront of jurisdictions offering offshore company formation solutions. And, thanks to our partnership with the UAE governmental body RAKIA and the well-established Noor Bank, SFM Corporate Services is internationally recognised as the institution that is strategically positioned to bring these advantages to our current and prospective clients both in the UAE and across the globe.
